Live events have become increasingly popular in the world of blockchain technology, providing an opportunity for innovators and thought leaders to discuss the latest trends and developments. Last week, several prominent figures gathered at Camp Decrypt 2022 to discuss the use of NFTs for storytelling. Moderated by What’s Trending podcast host Shira Lazar, the panel included Lost Children of Andromeda author Jason Michael Primrose, Amanda Terry of Metagood and ACTAI Ventures, Artemysia-X of Rug Radio program LorePlay, and Kas Vegas of NFT INT, Huxley, and Feature.io.

The conversation ranged from the potential of NFTs to the ways in which they can be used to tell unique stories. Primrose shared his experience writing a sci-fi novel using NFTs, while Terry discussed her work with the Metagood Foundation and the impact of NFTs on the gaming industry. Artemysia-X discussed the idea of a „storytelling economy“ and the ability for NFTs to create stories that go beyond a single moment in time. Finally, Vegas touched on the concept of creating a digital identity through NFTs and how this could benefit creators, such as musicians and artists.

At the same time, Web Summit 2022 featured a panel with Tezos co-founder Kathleen Breitman. Breitman discussed the importance of using proof-of-stake mechanisms, her admiration for Tendermint, Ethereum, and sharding, progressive decentralization, and NFT gaming. She also touched on the advantages of Tezos, which has used a proof-of-stake mechanism since its inception.

Finally, 0xpo Summit saw a panel between Clay Robbins of Slow Ventures, Soona Amhaz of Volt Capital, Sarah Guo of Conviction and formerly Greylock, and Alex Strzesniewski of AngelBlock. Moderated by Decrypt’s Jason Nelson, the panel discussed raising venture money even during Crypto Winter. They discussed the importance of having a strong business model and the ways in which venture capitalists are adapting to the changing landscape.
