Crypties Awards Celebrates Blockchain, DeFi Achievements in Miami

On November 30th, Decrypt Studios held the first-ever Crypties Awards in Miami, Florida. The Crypties Awards is an event that celebrates the best of the blockchain and DeFi world. The event was hosted by Josh Ostrovsky, also known as The Fat Jewish, and featured presenters from a range of crypto projects.

The night began with an opening video from Decrypt Studios and a performance from the Miami-based band, The Inner Circle. The first award of the night was for the Metaverse Event of the Year. The nominees included Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week, Heal from The Sandbox, and People of Crypto’s Metaverse Pride Parade. In the end, People of Crypto’s Metaverse Pride Parade won the award and was accepted by Simone Berry and Akbar Hamid.

Other awards of the night included the Crypto Artwork of the Year, which went to CryptoKitties, DeFi Product of the Year, which went to Ethereum, and Gaming Platform of the Year, which went to The Sandbox.

The night was sponsored by a variety of companies, such as Polygon, Filecoin Foundation, Lamina1, Async, BeetsDAO, The Gold Mask, Gem Set, Breakout, Anonymous, Infinite Objects, Ape Water, Decentralized Pictures, and Vault 721.
